Gary D. Godman is a Spanish-speaking immigration and family law attorney. A graduate of William & Mary Law School with an undergraduate degree in international studies and Spanish from the University of Oklahoma, his work and study experience spans four countries and ranges from non-profit and government work to private practice. He is licensed to practice law in Virginia and appears regularly in Virginia courts and the Arlington Immigration Court.
Mr. Godman knows that compassion and understanding is the key to successful legal representation - a lawyer that listens is in the best position to defend the client's interests. Serving the legal needs of the Fredericksburg area since 2014, Mr. Godman has wide-ranging legal experience in immigration law, deportation defense, green card & citizenship applications, and non-immigrant visas. He also represents clients in family matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and protective orders. Mr. Godman is also a qualified guardian ad litem representing children going through custody cases, criminal hearings, and the foster care system.
